Ms Rolfe has performed at the Boston Early Music and Connecticut Early Music Festivals, and was a Tanglewood Fellow. She has also given historical flute workshops and presented her “A Journey Through Music History with the Flute” at many universities, including Louisiana State, Appalachian State, the Universities of Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona and Alabama, and at San Francisco Conservatory. Ms Rolfe performed and taught at International Festivals in the Brazil, Peru, China, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Ms Rolfe was a featured artist at the Nordic Historical Keyboard Festival in Kuopio, Finland. She has been guest artist and clinician at the “Perla del Pacifico Festival” in Guayquil, Ecuador, and has been a guest artist at the Festival en el Centro del Mundo in Quito, Ecuador for over ten years. She has appeared with Boston’s Handel and Haydn Society at the Royal Albert Hall in London on the BBC “Proms” series, and performed with Boston Baroque at the Casals Festival. Ms Rolfe holds the Piccolo chair in the Cape Symphony Orchestra.
Ms Rolfe has recorded for Decca, Telarc, CRI, Analekta, and Neuma. She was Guest Artist on “Odette”, chosen as CD of the year by the Brazilian Ministry of Education and Culture Radio. She has recorded for Disney and for Ken Burns (PBS).
She is Professor of Flute at the Berklee College of Music. Ms. Rolfe earned the D.M.A. and M.M. from the Manhattan School of Music with Harvey Sollberger, and the B.M. from the Oberlin Conservatory with Robert Willoughby. She served on the National Flute Association’s Historical Flutes Committee.
